9 (2)
“Every employer
shall ensure that any of his employees who
supervises or manages the use of work equipment
has received adequate training for purposes
of health and safety, including training
in the methods which may be adopted when
using the work equipment, any risks which
such use may entail and precautions to be
taken.”
The training provided
by Highcliffe Safety Services is designed
to address these requirements and provide
employees with the knowledge and practical
skills required to be able to use the equipment
safely and to allow employers to discharge
their moral and legal obligations under
the regulations.
Two forms of abrasive
wheels training is offered depending on
the type of equipment used. The full course
is for those companies who use both traditional
abrasive wheels mounted in pedestal offhand
grinders and handheld types of angle grinders.
A shorter course is also offered for those
who only use angle grinders and cut off
saws.
The course details follow
and show the learning objectives, outcomes
and assessment evidence used.
